On a Saturday afternoon, most supporters see 90 minutes of football. What they don’t always see is the team of volunteers working behind the scenes to make every matchday possible.
From opening the ground and welcoming supporters to hosting sponsors, selling programmes, helping mascots and closing up after the final whistle, dozens of tasks need to be completed at every home game.
As our club continues to grow, so does the need for more people to lend a hand.
Why we need your help
Aylesbury United is run by volunteers. Every home fixture depends on people giving up a little of their time to ensure the day runs smoothly for everyone who walks through the turnstiles.
At the moment, a relatively small group of people carry out the majority of these jobs. By growing our Ducks Team, we can share the workload more evenly, reduce the pressure on existing volunteers and continue improving the matchday experience for everyone.
Even if you can only help at a handful of games each season, your contribution could make a real difference.
Could you spare a few hours?
We’re looking for supporters who can help with roles such as:
- Welcoming supporters and visitors
- Matchday hospitality
- Boardroom hosting
- Selling programmes and 50/50 tickets
- Merchandise sales
- Assisting mascots
- Setting up before kick-off
- Tidying up after the match
- Supporting club events throughout the season
No previous experience is needed. We’ll show you everything you need to know and you can volunteer as often or as little as your time allows.
