With the new season approaching, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported 21st Century Ducks over the last 12 months. Whether you’ve been a member, volunteered your time, joined the Gold Club, taken part in the Duck Draw, attended one of our events or simply supported the Ducks from the terraces, you’ve played a part in helping Aylesbury United move forward.

While many of the figures below reflect money raised, they also represent something much more important - the time, generosity and commitment of supporters working together to strengthen both Aylesbury United and our local community.

Here’s a look back at another memorable year.

Membership

This season, 21st Century Ducks reached 100 members, with 29 supporters choosing to back the club through the Gold Club.

Every membership strengthens the Supporters’ Trust and enables us to continue supporting Aylesbury United, both financially and through a growing range of supporter-led initiatives.

Supporting the Club

During the last financial year, 21st Century Ducks contributed £16,489 to Aylesbury United FC. That total included around £4,200 raised through the Gold Club, with the remainder coming from 21CD memberships, fundraising activities and other supporter-led initiatives.

Towards the end of the season, we also responded to a special funding request from the club, providing additional financial support as the team battled to retain its Southern League status.

In addition, £460 in first-team goal bonus payments was provided by Robert Day & Co, owned by 21CD Treasurer Lee Cotton, between November and the end of the season, rewarding the team’s performances on the pitch.

This is exactly why a strong Supporters’ Trust matters. When the club needs support, we’re able to help.

Duck Draw

Our monthly Duck Draw continues to provide supporters with the chance to win cash prizes while directly supporting the work of 21st Century Ducks.

During the 2025/26 season, £1,242 was paid out in prize money. Several winners generously chose to donate some or all of their winnings back to the Trust, helping us continue supporting both Aylesbury United and our wider community.

Every ticket purchased helps us continue supporting the football club and develop new initiatives for supporters. If you’re not already taking part, you can find out more and join at 21ducks.co.uk/members/duckdraw.html.

Supporting Our Community

Football is about more than what happens on the pitch.

Throughout the season, supporters donated 300kg of food to our charity partner, Youth Concern - roughly the weight of three Erling Haalands. The donations helped support local people and families who needed it most.

Supporters also raised more than £800 for Youth Concern, with much of that total coming through our annual Charity Duck Walk.

Supporting our local community has always been an important part of what we do and we’re looking forward to building on that during the coming season.

Bringing Supporters Together

Over the past year we’ve continued to organise and support a wide range of events, including Legends Day, the End of Season Bash, Gold Club lunches, Fans’ Forums and a number of fundraising initiatives.

These occasions not only raised valuable funds but also strengthened the connection between supporters, volunteers and the football club.

Listening to Our Members

Around this time last year, we asked our members what they wanted to see from 21CD. The feedback highlighted the importance of better communication, greater transparency, stronger supporter engagement and regular updates on the club’s return to Aylesbury.

That feedback has helped shape much of what we’ve delivered over the past 12 months.

We’ve refreshed the Gold Club following member feedback, increased supporter representation within the club, improved communication with members, held regular Fans’ Forums and begun developing new initiatives including our volunteer programme and Ducks: LiftShare, helping supporters travel to matches together.

Thank you to everyone who completed the survey. Your feedback continues to shape the direction of 21st Century Ducks.

A Landmark Year

The 2025/26 season will be remembered as one of the most significant in Aylesbury United’s history.

The club became community owned, giving supporters a genuine voice in helping shape its future.

Another major milestone was seeing the Aylesbury United FC club crest trademark returned to where it belongs – with the football club itself!

Protecting the club’s identity for future generations is something every supporter can be proud of and would not have been possible without the backing of 21CD members over many years. It is another reminder of what supporters can achieve when they work together.

The season also saw the publication of Playing The Game, written by 21CD Vice Chair Mike Snell. Covering almost 60 years of Aylesbury United’s history, from the club’s formation in 1897 through to around 1955, the book preserves an important chapter of the club’s story for future generations.

Looking Ahead

The work doesn’t stop here.

Our priorities for 2026/27 include growing the Gold Club, expanding our volunteer programme, rolling out Ducks: LiftShare, holding three Gold Club lunches throughout the season, continuing to improve supporter engagement and communication, and expanding our support for both the football club and the local community.

2025/26 in Numbers

  • £16,489 contributed to Aylesbury United FC
  • 1,298 historic Aylesbury United matches preserved in Playing The Game
  • £1,242 paid out in Duck Draw prizes, with several winners donating some or all of their winnings back to the Trust
  • £800+ raised for Youth Concern
  • £460 in first-team goal bonuses funded by Robert Day & Co
  • 300kg of food donated to Youth Concern - roughly the weight of three Erling Haalands
  • 100 members supporting 21st Century Ducks
  • 29 Gold Club members
  • Five major supporter events delivered

The numbers tell part of the story.

The real achievement is the people behind them.

Every membership, every volunteer, every event attended, every Duck Draw ticket purchased and every pound raised has helped make a difference to Aylesbury United.

As a Supporters’ Trust, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve achieved together over the past 12 months, but we’re even more excited about what’s still to come.

Thank you for being part of the journey. We look forward to building on these foundations together in 2026/27.
